Maps & Navigation, Directions (“the App”) is developed by Appverge Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use the App, including navigation features, location-based services, and group tracking (Circles/Groups/Fleet).

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect the following categories of data to provide navigation and group tracking services:

  • Precise Location

Why we collect it:

  • Navigation, routing, and directions
  • Real-time tracking for Circles/Groups/Fleet
  • Map-based features
  • Providing accurate distance, ETA, and movement updates
  • Safety and fraud prevention

When location is collected:

  • When the app is in use (foreground)
  • When background tracking is enabled
  • When you join a Circle/Group or Fleet for continuous tracking

Shared with:

  • Firebase (analytics, crash logs)
  • AdMob (ads may use coarse location signals)
  • Our secure servers (for delivering real-time group tracking)

2.2 Device Information & Identifiers

We collect:

  • Device model, operating system version
  • Android Advertising ID or other device identifiers

Used for:

  • Advertising and ad measurement (AdMob)
  • Analytics (Firebase)
  • Fraud prevention

2.3 User ID

We generate a unique User ID via Firebase to:

  • Improve analytics and performance
  • Associate your app usage with non-identifiable metrics
  • Enable group features (Circles/Fleet)

This ID is not tied to your real identity.

2.4 Crash Logs & Diagnostics

Collected through Firebase Crashlytics:

  • Crash data
  • Performance issues

Used for improving the App’s stability.

If voluntarily provided by you, we may collect:

4. Circles, Groups, or Fleet Tracking (Real-Time Location Sharing)

4.1 How Location is Used for Group Tracking

If you join a Circle/Group/Fleet:

  • Your real-time precise location, movement, speed, and route may be shared with other members.
  • Location may be collected in foreground and background for continuous tracking.
  • Group managers may view your status (moving, idle, offline).

4.2 Why This Tracking Happens

  • Collaborative navigation
  • Fleet monitoring
  • Safety tracking
  • Arrival or departure alerts
  • Movement history (if enabled)

4.3 Who Can See Your Location

  • Members of your Circle/Group
  • Group or Fleet administrators
  • Our servers for processing updates

We do not publish or publicly share your location.

4.4 Background Location

If enabled:

  • The app may collect location even when closed
  • Used strictly for continuous tracking features
  • You may disable this anytime in device settings

4.5 User Control

  • Leave a Circle/Group/Fleet anytime
  • Turn off location access
  • Disable background location
  • Request deletion of your stored data

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data.

7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
