PDF Office (“the App”) is developed by AppVergeTechnologies.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App, including document scanning, PDF creation, ID card scanning, educational document storage, and e-sign features.

By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data to provide scanning, document management, and app functionality.

2.1 Document & Media Data

We may access or process:

  • Images captured using your device camera

  • Documents scanned (ID cards, personal documents, educational certificates, receipts, etc.)

  • PDFs created or edited within the app

Why we collect it:

  • Scan and convert documents to PDF

  • Crop, enhance, and organize documents

  • Enable e-sign and sharing features

  • Save documents locally on your device

📌 Important:

  • All scanned documents are stored locally on your device by default

  • We do not upload or read your documents unless you explicitly choose to share or back them up

2.2 Camera Access

We request camera permission to:

  • Scan documents

  • Capture ID cards

  • Create PDFs

Camera access is used only when the scanning feature is active.

2.3 Storage Access

We may request storage or media access to:

  • Save scanned documents

  • Read documents selected by you

  • Export or share PDFs

2.4 Device Information & Identifiers

We collect:

  • Device model

  • Android OS version

  • Android Advertising ID or similar identifiers

Used for:

  • Analytics and app performance (Firebase)

  • Advertising and measurement (AdMob)

  • Fraud prevention and abuse detection

2.5 User ID

We generate a unique User ID via Firebase to:

  • Improve analytics and performance

  • Measure app usage trends

  • Link non-identifiable usage metrics

This ID is not linked to your real identity.

2.6 Crash Logs & Diagnostics

Collected via Firebase Crashlytics:

  • Crash reports

  • Error logs

  • Performance diagnostics

Used strictly to improve app stability and user experience.

2.7 Optional Personal Information

If you voluntarily provide it, we may collect:

  • Name

  • Email address

Used only for:

  • Customer support

  • Feedback

  • Account-related communication (if applicable)

  • Delete scanned documents

  • Request data deletion

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with:

For analytics, crash reporting, and diagnostics.

5.2 AdMob (Google Ads)

5.3 Secure App Services

For app functionality such as document processing features.

  • Scanned documents → Stored locally until deleted by user

  • Analytics data → Retained per Firebase policy

  • Crash logs → Retained per Firebase policy

  • Advertising IDs → Used for ads & measurement

  • Optional user info → Deleted upon request

7. Children’s Privacy

This app is not specifically designed for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.

If you believe that your child has provided personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take necessary action.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data

  • Opt out of analytics

  • Opt out of personalized ads

  • No documents are uploaded to our servers
